Your hosts, Art & Linda Mason, look forward to welcoming you!

Eagle's LandingThis home is perched atop the hills of Cormorant Island, overlooking the entrance to the Johnstone Strait, one of the world's premier
whale-watching areas.

Cormorant Island is home to about 1500 people in the Village of Alert Bay and on the Namgis First Nation reserve. Alert Bay is the North Island's oldest town. While here, you can hike or bike our 14-km network of trails; visit the world-renowned U'mista Cultural Centre's museum of First Nation masks and potlatch history and gift shop; visit the Big House for an introduction to Kwakwaka'wakw culture through song and dance; marvel at the giant cedars in our Ecological Gardens; go whale-watching, kayaking, diving, birding;...or just hang out.
